Welcome to Ho Chi Minh city, our guide will pick you up at Ho Chi Minh Airport and take you to hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards.
 
Then we will pay a visit to Ben Thanh Market, an astonishing place which is considered as a symbol of every other market in Vietnam. Visiting around, shopping and exploring Ben Thanh have been an indispensable experience to all visitors in Ho Chi Minh City and also opportunity to confirm that “Discovering an Asian market is never boring”.
 
In the evening, your guide will recommend you a fantastic local restaurant to enjoy a dinner with many traditional Vietnamese dishes. Transfer back to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Bustle up your enery for a new day with breakfast before the tour guide will pick you up and depart to My Tho founded in the 17th century. With the life depending on the cultivation of rice, coconuts, and citrus fruits, My Tho has become an essential market town to the neighbour countryside. Leaving the town, we will continue the route to Vinh Long to take a boat trip.
 
Floating along the river, you easily will see many mysterious caves with many boats selling mangos and milk apples around. That’s also a chance for you to witness the daily life of locals.
 
Taking down the river, you will see the local tropical fruit orchards on the riverbanks as well as the farms of locals. Visiting the farms, you can try some kinds of fruit here before we leave for Can Tho to check in hotel and overnight.

Waking up with a breakfast served, you will feel pleasant with the fresh atmosphere of river life here. We will run adrift along the river on boat, witness many other floating boats selling from well-known fruits such as mangos, bananas to the most exotic ones like mangos teens, star apples, or the sweetened longans and the very odorous durians. You will be satisfied with their flavours before entering the gaze of the channels and streams around Can Tho. Sitting on boat and have a direct look at locals’ activities, you will partly understand more about their daily life.
 
In the late morning, we will transfer to Soc Trang where over a quarter of civilians are Khmer. Reaching the city, we will visit Buu Son Tu (Clay Pagoda) in the mountain. Dated to 19th century, here is home for hundreds of statues and sculptures. Entering inside, you will feel as you are in a very different world of Buddha. 
 
Transfer back to hotel in Can Tho. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Enjoying a cup of Vietnamese coffee with your breakfast, you will be guided to Tram Chim National Park and Wetlands Reserve by following the Bassac River northwest. With the area of about 30 square miles, the park is home for over 200 bird species, particularly you can see the rare redheaded crane. At the morning time, you will hear the song performed by birds calling the new day.
 
 If you are a natural lover, visiting the park is a wonderful chance to contemplate the picture of geese flying through the distant sky as well as the immense lily pads covering canals. Enjoy a picnic lunch to recover energy for the route.
 
In the evening, we will transfer to accommodation for overnight. Dinner on your own.

The morning comes with the sunlight shining over the river. Walking along the canals, you will see numerous mischievous fish floating on the surface for a morning meal and the bird flying in the circle overhead. That’s absolutely a great time to pose some nice photos. 
 
Continue the floating trip and coming to the larger part of the Bassac River for departure to Chaudoc. Located on the banks of river, Chaudoc town is filled with the mixture of Chinese, Cham and Khmer cultures by the communities around. Passing the immense verdant paddy fields, we will see Sam Mountain which is the highest peak in the province (690 feet tall) and the Mubarak mosque on another side of Chaudoc.
 
Visiting the mosque, you will see a unique riverside community at this monument dated to the mid 18th century with the hard bamboo pillars. Transfer to the base of Sam Mountain, we will visit Tay An pogoda dated back from the mid 19th century to admire the fantastic gallery. Before getting inside, you will be greeted by two elephant statues standing at the entrance. Entering the pagoda, you will see the home of over 200 statues, many of which are Buddha. Specially, sitting on a varnished table in the back chamber is a particular statue of an honored monk.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

The dawn is the most astonishing time of local market that you will realize when enjoying a breakfast. Then we will transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for city sightseeing. 
 
Visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral  with its beautiful architecture dated back to 19th century and brought over from Europe. The entrance to enter inside will lead you to another world which is not noisy as the former one before you get in. Stop for a while to enjoy the peaceful time in a large monument with high ceilings above you.
 
In the evening, you can once again savour the Vietnamese flavours in a local restaurant while re-thinking about where you visited.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Visa:
You will require a visa to enter Vietnam. Your consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
 
Passport:
Please ensure that you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining after your return date. You will also need at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting.
 
Booking Procedure:
Only once you are completely happy with any holiday itinerary we create for you will we ask for a payment. In order that we can secure availability for your booking we would typically require a deposit of 30%.
 
Money Exchange:
The official currency of Thailand is the Baht (THB).
The official currency of Cambodia is the Riel (KHR). 
Unofficially however, US currency (US$) runs the country and is the currency you should bring, mostly in cash - notes should be 2006 series onwards. Clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Notes should be 2006 series onwards. Torn, dirty or old notes, as well as the $2US note will be refused in most businesses. ATMs are available in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap and also dispense in both KHR and US$. 
The official currency of Vietnam is Dong (VND).
Some establishments will accept US currency (USD), but usually only for large purchases and in some restaurants and hotels that cater to tourists. It's not possible to exchange Vietnamese Dong outside the country, so convert or spend all your Dong before leaving.
The most convenient and cheapest way to obtain local currency in is via an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). ATMs are now available in most towns and visa cash advances are available in major banks. The use of credit cards is restricted, mainly to major hotels. Foreign currency notes that are old, torn or faded can be very difficult to exchange; clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Traveller's cheques are unacceptable to change. 
 
Tipping:
If you're happy with the services provided a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Asia destinations. Although can be difficult to source we advise you to carry small notes of local currency each day to make tipping easier. Please note we recommend that any tips are given directly to the intended recipient by a member of your group as our group leaders are prohibited from collecting cash for tips.
The following amounts are per person suggestions based on local considerations and feedback from our past travelers:
Restaurants: Local markets and basic restaurants - round your bill up to the nearest US$1. More up-market restaurants we suggest 10% to 15% of your bill.
Local guides: Throughout your trip you may at times have a local guide in addition to your tour leader. We suggest US$2-US$3 per day for local guides.
Drivers: You may have a range of drivers on your trip. Some may be with you for a short journey while others may be with you for several days. We would suggest a higher tip for those more involved with the group, however, we suggest US$1-US$2 per day for drivers.
Please don't tip with coins, very small denomination notes, or dirty and ripped notes. This is regarded culturally as an insult.
