The adventure starts with a 4-hour transfer from Hanoi to PuLuong via Mai Chau. Along the way, you will see the scenic landscape with fields of sugar cane, tapioca and rice paddies. Take a stop in Mai Chau Valley for lunch. Then, we leave PomCoong Village for 22km driving to place where we start trekking.
After 3 hours trekking, visit Hang Village, home of Thai ethnic minority, also where we spend dinner and the night. Before dinner, we can stroll around the village to see the daily life of the locals.
Day 2: Trek to Kho Muong Village (B/L/D) |
After breakfast at the homestay, start the trek today which will take us 6 hours to conquer rocky path running through jungle. Enjoy lunch en route.
Continue the trek through some Thai villages and see their life. Arrive at KhoMuong Village, the village of Muong ethnic minority. Spend overnight in homestay.
Day 3: Trek to Cao Hoong Village (B/L/D) |
The full-day trekking adventure today will lead us to the PuLuong range where you have some awesome photos. On the way, we traverse via many hamlets and village before reaching the Cao Hoong Village, another home of Thai ethnic people. Spend an overnight at a local home.
Day 4: Trek to Cao Village (B/L/D) |
Today, we enjoy another 6-hour trek to enjoy discover the countryside highlighted with forest, rice terraces and villages. En route, you will see the authentic image of local life here: the farmers working on the paddies, the children on the way to school. Stop at a local village for lunch.
Enjoy overnight in Cao Village.
Day 5: Cao Village – Canh Nang Town – Mai Chau (B/L/D) |
Following the breakfast is a trek toward Ma River with the wide-open valley view. 2 hours later, we reach Pho Doan Town to visit local market and see the daily activities of people here.
Then, trek to the Ma River with nice view of river, paddies and water wheel en route. An awaiting driver will pick us up and transfer to Mai Chay for a late lunch.
Spend overnight at a homestay in PomCoong Village.
Day 6: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B/L) |
Today is time for relaxation. If interested, we can stroll around the Mai Chau Valley area to witness the daily life activities of the local people.
Say farewell to Mai Chau and transfer back to Hanoi.
