Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau, light trek to Hang Kia village |
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau, light trek to Hang Kia village

The adventure starts from your hotel in Hanoi at around 8.00 am and drive to Mai Chau Town via a scenic way filled up with fields of tapioca, sugar cane and rice.

Reaching PomCoong Village, we enjoy a nice lunch in a traditional stilt house of Thai people before continuing to drive to Xa Ling village. From here, start trekking through nice villages and paths to see the landscape and local life.

Arriving Hang Kia village of H’mong village, we enjoy dinner and stay overnight in a traditional house.

Day 2: Trek to Van village (4 - 5 hours trekking) |

Following breakfast is a great off-the-beaten-track adventure through tropical forest and corn fields and descent into Mai Chau Valley.

Have lunch at a local stall at the foot of valley. After filling up your energy, continue passing ethnic minority villages highlighted with fields and water wheels to the Van village. Take walking around here to see how the local white Thai people live.

Enjoy dinner and overnight at a traditional house in the village. You also have chance to sample the homemade rice wine.

Day 3: Trek to XamKhoe village (4 - 5 hours trekking) |

The whole today is time for trekking through Thai villages, rice paddies and amazing landscape around. Enjoy picnic lunch on the way. Arriving XamKhoe village in the afternoon and visit a local home, you can join to cook and then enjoy dinner with the host, taste flavor of local wine and learn about the local culture through stories.

It’s free time for you to walk around or just simply talk with local people and spend overnight in the village.

Saying goodbye to the host after breakfast, we continue the trekking adventure to Mai Chau Valley and PomCoong Village among the fresh air of an early morning.

Enjoy a lunch prepared by local people. Stroll around the village in the afternoon. Relax and be ready for our trekking on the following day. Enjoy dinner and overnight in PomCoong Village.

After breakfast, leave PomCoong village behind and begin the adventure of today to PuLuong. From here, trek to Duom and Hang Village in around 2.5 hours with many chances to interact with local people.

If time permits, the local children are eager to take you to visit the Hang cave. Spend the night at a local Thai family, which is good chance to learn more about local culture. Prepare picnic lunch for the following day.

Don’t hesitate to wake up early and join the morning activities with the host. Stroll around Hang Village before enjoying breakfast cooked by Thai people. Saying goodbye to the host, we will continue trekking adventure with some hard hiking proportions: steep climbs and more stream crossings. However, the landscape you see later will be worth for your effort.

We have a picnic lunch en route at Eo Ken village before trekking to Hang village, which seems to be the most beautiful village in Vietnam thanks to the location: among limestone mountains and scenic terraces.

Spend overnight at a particular Thai eco-stilt house in KhoMuong Village.

Day 7: Trek to Nua and Hin villages |

Following breakfast, be ready for our full-day hiking trip. Pass through the valley with some steep climbs and stream crossings. Trek to an amazing cave which has been recently discovered. The trekking will be more interesting when we approach deeper into the area of limestone mountains and rain forest of PuLuong Nature Reserve to Nua village.

Take time immersing yourself in a cool stream nearby and relax from the heat of the day with picnic lunch. Then, continue trekking to Hin village, the typical one of Thai people. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a local house. Prepare picnic lunch for the following day.

Day 8: Hike to Son village |

Leaving Hin village after breakfast, start the full-day trek to Son village. Get deeper into the PuLuong Nature Reserve filled up with wild and rich tropical forest. Have a picnic lunch en route.

Continue trekking to Son village when the sunset covers the sky of the area (if it doesn’t rain). Stop at a Thai stilt-house, relax or stroll around the village. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Son village.

After breakfast, start our trek to Ton village. The trek today is easier and memorable with images if rice paddies and jungle. About 2.5 hours later, we arrive in Ton village where the driver will pick you up to transfer to MuongKhen for lunch. Transfer back to Hanoi then and finish the adventure.
