Arriving at Hanoi Airport, We will transfer you to your hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walking tour around Hanoi. You will be surprised with a variety of architectural works in our capital and its well-known 36 streets of the Old Quarter. Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday) where the great President Ho Chi Minh rest in peace. We will visit his traditional stilt house and the respected One-Pillar Pagoda, the special pagoda with particular structure. Leaving here, we will transfer to thousand-year-old Temple of Literature, the famous first university in Vietnam. You will recognize that this is a popular place for Vietnamese students to take commemorative photographs when graduating.
 
After a short rest, visit around Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple as well as the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday). Here, you can deeply explore the diversity of Vietnam’s ethnic groups before enjoying a traditional water puppet show performed after the sunset. Or you can visit around the city and try enjoying Hanoi’s Bun Cha to enjoy traditional grilled pork and rice vermicelli noodles with fresh herbs,  greens and crispy spring rolls (nem rán) like true Hanoians.
Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own and take a sound sleep for the following day!
(Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from 08 September to 08 November for annual maintenance. Outside visiting can be arranged).

After breakfast, we will leave Hanoi for a 180-km journey to Halong Bay, one of UNESCO World Heritage site with its 2000 islands located in a background of limestone in Gulf of Tonkin. Coming to Halong, visitors will be impressed with the beauty of natural achievement and many wonderful types of scenery. 
In the afternoon, free time for you to try many interesting activities like kayaking or swimming.
You will enjoy an overnight cruise on a wonderful boat floating on Halong Bay and savouring special menu of fresh seafood will absolutely bring you the best moment you have ever had.

You are recommended to wake up early in the morning on this day because that is the most wonderful time for you to contemplate aquamarine water of the bay at its best. Once satisfied with the tea break, you will continue the onboard excursion through impressive limestone surrounding the bay. Visiting one of the most beautiful caves of Halong and don’t forget to take some nice photos of this unique land.
Returning to the Harbour, we will transfer back to hotel in Hanoi. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Finishing your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Hue. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Then we will board a local boat and float along Perfume River, we will drop off and visit a typical garden house built following the precise rules of geomancy. Continue the journey; we will visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the most beautiful ancient pagoda of Hue. Built in 1601, the pagoda has been improved many times under the reign of Kings during Nguyen Dynasty. 
This is good chance for you to rescue your mind from the daily pressure and breathe the fresh air as well as find a peaceful feeling for your spirit. The pagoda is regarded as the unofficial symbol of the former imperial capital and often the subject of folk rhymes about Hue.

We will explore Mausoleum of Tu Duc, the fouth King of Nguyen dynasty with the longest reign. Located in a narrow valley, the tomb had been erected from 1864 to 1867 with 475 ha in area. There are about 50 monuments inside the tomb with the fresh and smooth structure which reflect a poetic spirit of King Tu Duc.
Excursing along the shore of Luu Khiem River, we will see the island where emperors used to hunt.

Once satisfied with your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Afterwards, we will come to visit the Reunification Palace, a particular architectural monument which is associated with many significant historical events.
The monument is now an attractive touristic destination thanks to its display of dozens historic war vehicles such as transmitters, telephones, tanks and helicopter. The landscape at the Palace seems to reconstitute a wartime in 1975.

We will pay a visit to Cu Chi Tunnel, the historic shelter of Vietnamese soldiers during the war. We will pay a visit to the traps, the mysterious way-in, the network of bunkers and the underground hermitage. 
Furthermore, there gives you a unique and wonderful chance to use real guns and bullets at rifle range as well as even creeping into the Cu Chi Tunnels to understand the historic harsh life of Vietcong guerrillas. Covering almost 250km, the tunnels system helped over 16.000 communist guerillas alive during the war.
Relaxing with green tea and tapioca as Vietcong in wartime, you will understand more about their former life.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Siem Reap. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Siem Reap is the most famous tourism city of Cambodia. There are up to million tourists from all over the world coming for visiting this city annually.
We will pay a visit the ancient monastery Ta Prohm. The Ta Prohm Temple, which was built in 1186 particularly for the mother of King Jayavarman VII, used to be home of more than 12.500 people, including 18 priests and 80.000 Khmer people. However, the collapse of Khmer Empire leaded to the current situation of Temple: left fallow and covered by tropical forests. 
This excursion will make you feel as you are the first adventurer who explores the ancient temple. Visitors will find a unique chance to see splendid carved vestige and breathe an atmosphere truly fresh.

This day of tour will lead us to Angkor Wat Temple, the largest and most beautiful Temple in Angkor Archaeological Site. Constructed in the 12th century (1112-1152) under the reign of Suryavarman II in honour of Vishnu, Angkor Wat is currently the soul and symbol of the Cambodian Nation and appears on the flag of the country. UNESCO recognized Angkor Wat as a World Heritage, which needs preserving.
With many embossments surrounding this religious monument, it describes the legend of Hindu divinities and an immortal life. Visitors will easily notice a disproportionate scenery of squares, stairs, towers and imagine the magnificent age of Khmer Empire. Different from other temples in Angkor, Angkor Wat is still an important Buddhist work and home for numerous Buddha statues although it used to be left fallow in 15th century.

The day of tour will lead you to the airport for flight to Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Afterwards, we can visit around the city for sightseeing and admire its beauty. The best scenery you will see is the skyline on the edges of the Chao Pharaya River, a large beautiful legendary river with many high buildings and famous temples on river banks.
Taking time deliberately walking to visit Soi Rambuttri, the street brings an ancient feeling before the appearance of modern monuments. It is the combination with many services of hotel, restaurant, bar and street food store. Visiting around and shopping will be a memorable experience for visitors. Additionally, you easily can see the delicacy of Wat Chana Songkhram when walking along the Rambuttri way which is colourful thanks to the bright lanterns.

After breakfast, we will come to visit the Grand Palace, an attractive place in Bangkok. The Grand Palace was built following the mixture between European and Thai architecture. Thai people believe that anyone visiting the temple in the Palace will get luck, that is Wat Phra Keo known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Thailand which shelters a valuable Emerald Buddhist statue. Being different from other temples in Thailand, the temple contains no accommodation for monks but monuments decorated with supernatural landscape and statues.

Visa:
You will require a visa to enter Vietnam. Your consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
 
Passport:
Please ensure that you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining after your return date. You will also need at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting.
 
Booking Procedure:
Only once you are completely happy with any holiday itinerary we create for you will we ask for a payment. In order that we can secure availability for your booking we would typically require a deposit of 30%.
 
Money Exchange:
The official currency of Thailand is the Baht (THB).
The official currency of Cambodia is the Riel (KHR). 
Unofficially however, US currency (US$) runs the country and is the currency you should bring, mostly in cash - notes should be 2006 series onwards. Clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Notes should be 2006 series onwards. Torn, dirty or old notes, as well as the $2US note will be refused in most businesses. ATMs are available in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap and also dispense in both KHR and US$. 
The official currency of Vietnam is Dong (VND).
Some establishments will accept US currency (USD), but usually only for large purchases and in some restaurants and hotels that cater to tourists. It's not possible to exchange Vietnamese Dong outside the country, so convert or spend all your Dong before leaving.
The most convenient and cheapest way to obtain local currency in is via an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). ATMs are now available in most towns and visa cash advances are available in major banks. The use of credit cards is restricted, mainly to major hotels. Foreign currency notes that are old, torn or faded can be very difficult to exchange; clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Traveller's cheques are unacceptable to change. 
 
Tipping:
If you're happy with the services provided a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Asia destinations. Although can be difficult to source we advise you to carry small notes of local currency each day to make tipping easier. Please note we recommend that any tips are given directly to the intended recipient by a member of your group as our group leaders are prohibited from collecting cash for tips.
The following amounts are per person suggestions based on local considerations and feedback from our past travelers:
Restaurants: Local markets and basic restaurants - round your bill up to the nearest US$1. More up-market restaurants we suggest 10% to 15% of your bill.
Local guides: Throughout your trip you may at times have a local guide in addition to your tour leader. We suggest US$2-US$3 per day for local guides.
Drivers: You may have a range of drivers on your trip. Some may be with you for a short journey while others may be with you for several days. We would suggest a higher tip for those more involved with the group, however we suggest US$1-US$2 per day for drivers.
Please don't tip with coins, very small denomination notes, or dirty and ripped notes. This is regarded culturally as an insult.
