Arriving at Hanoi Airport, welcome you to Hanoi! We will transfer you to your hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday) where the great President Ho Chi Minh rest in peace. We will visit he traditional stilt house and the respected One-Pillar Pagoda, the special pagoda with particular structure. Leaving here, we will transfer to thousand-year-old Temple of Literature, the famous first university in Vietnam. You will recognize that this is a popular place for Vietnamese students to take commemorative photographs when graduating.
 
After short rest, we start visiting the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday). Here, you can deeply explore the diversity of Vietnam’s ethnic groups before enjoying a traditional water puppet show performed after the sunset.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own and take a sound sleep for the following day!
 
(Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from 08 September to 08 November for annual maintenance.Outside visiting can be arranged).

After your breakfast, we will depart to Van Long Nature Reserve. Here contains its unique beauty with many immense rice fields and impressive limestone mountains. It’s time to take a sampan driven by a local paddler with his feet to pay a visit to the reserve which show you an unreal background of rain forests and ancient mountains reflected in the water. Van Long is the home of diverse species of strange birds. What an ideal place to discover!
 
Saying goodbye to the birds, get back to your bicycle along the dike close to Hoang Long River and arrive at a local house for a delicious local lunch and a short break.
 
Having a lunch with them, talking to understand more about the daily life and their concept of family, you will surely have yourself the most memorable moments at the heart of a small village amongst the karstic peaks.

Leaving Ninh Binh, we will drive head towards Halong Bay, one of UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3000 islands located in a background of limestone in Gulf of Tonkin. Coming to Halong, visitors will be impressed with the beauty of natural achievement and many wonderful types of scenery. 
 
You will enjoy an overnight cruise on a wonderful boat floating on Ha Long Bay and savouring special menu of fresh seafood will absolutely bring you the best moment you have ever had.
 
You will be served with lunch and dinner on boat. Overnight onboard.
 
Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Nha Trang (B)

You are recommended to wake up early in the morning on this day because that is the most wonderful time for you to contemplate aquamarine water of the bay at its best. Once satisfied with the tea break, you will continue the onboard excursion through impressive limestone surrounding the bay. Don’t forget to take some nice photos of this unique land.
 
Transfer back to Hanoi airport for flight to Nhatrang. If time permits, on the way we will stop to visit a pottery village. Reaching Nhatrang, welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 6: Nha Trang Diving (B,L)

In the morning, leaving the hotel, we will come to Cau Da Port for an interesting diving activity. Cruise to Mun & Mot islands, we will stop here for diving and snorkeling. You can try both in 45 minutes for each with 2-3 hours distance. In the break time, you can get on boat and enjoy a light lunch, tea and coffee to recover yourself. Diving into the water, you will contemplate the fantastic picture of the sea as well as the live sea creatures in Nhatrang Bay, especially the beautiful coral reefs at the sea bottom.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Leaving the beautiful Nhatrang, we will transfer for excursion to Dalat, the city of fog. Dalat is celebrated as Eternal Spring located in the the South-central highlands. In a beautiful landscape, the city turns up with mountain air, fantastic surrounding forests and lakes. On the excursion way, we will stop at some wonderful positions to take some amazing photos. Then we will visit the Cham Towers of Pokhlong. Transfer back to hotel. Free time at your leisure. Consider visiting the Central Market. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 9: Dalat Sightseeing (B)

The day of tour offers you a chance to discover the wonderful city. Vitsiting Prenn Waterfall, you will enjoy the beauty of mountain with cool air. Walking to nearby K’long Mountain Village, the fatherland of ethnic minority groups famous for being skilful at creating soft wooden decorations. Travel further to Datanla Waterfall for some amazing photos and you will feel as you are in a paradise of natural beauty. Continue the trip by cable car to the summit of Phuong Hoang Mount, you will have chance to visit Truc Lam Zen Meditation. Visiting Tuyen Lam, the largest lake in Dalat, you will feel impressed of the wonderful landscape surrounding. 
 
In the afternoon, we will drop off at Crazy House, the unique monument built in an unusual architecture. To someone, it looks like a stump but to some others, they think that it seems to be a wild animal appears in jungle. The windows with strange shapes and a way in looking like a cobweb will lead visitors into a particular view inside.
 
We will also visit XQ Embroidery Gallery which let you understand more about the rich and ancient culture of Vietnam.

Our next stop will be the Cat Tien National Park, one of Vietnam's most important and largest National Parks. Cat Tien National Park is known as home for 600 varieties of plants, 240 types of birds and 50 species of mammals, including the one-horn Javan rhinoceros, one of several endangered mammals from Vietnam which named in the World Red Book. Arriving the park, we will come to the the Forest Floor Lodge for check in and take a short rest. 
 
Starting the afternoon with a visit to ethnic village by cyclo. You can have chance to visit a family and exchange with them. Returning in late afternoon to observe the nocturnal life of some animals. Meals and overnight at the lodge.
 
Day 11: Nam Cat Tien Park (B,L,D)

Cat Tien National Park is recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve Region by UNESCO. Walking in the park, visitors will see many desolate and waste animals such as bears, gibbons, gaurs, … The park is also the paradise of some bird species like jungle fowl or peacock. Moreover, this is the concentration of more than 300 kinds of rare wood. Walking here, you will see many large trees with palms and cycads in the under-storey ot looking up into the canopy you will see ferns and orchids; lianas, and strangler vines are abundant. 
 
Recovering with a lunch, we will continue excursing to the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre. Transfer back to lodge for dinner and overnight.
 
Day 12: Nam Cat Tien Park (B)

You are recommended to wake up early and walk to Heaven Rapids to see the primate as well as many bird species. Transfer back to lodge for breakfast. 2-hourr free for you at viewing platform and enjoy the songs of birds and gibbons. Around noontime, the golf car will pick us up to the Bear Rescue Centre to observe them from platform. The Centre’s target is to rescue and rehabilitate endangered primates/ bears, then take them to Cat Tien Nation Park to give them a safer life. Transfer to the ferry for departure. A picnic lunch will be served.
 
Leaving the Cat Tien National Park, we will transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for hotel check in. Free time at your leisure. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 13: Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh Sightseeing (B)

We will pay a visit to Cu Chi Tunnel, the historic shelter of Vietnamese soldiers during the war. We will pay a visit to the traps, the mysterious way-in, the network of bunkers and the underground hermitage. Furthermore, there gives you a unique and wonderful chance to use real guns and bullets at riffle range as well as even creep into the Cu Chi Tunnels to understand the historic harsh life of Vietcong guerrillas. Covering almost 250km, the tunnels system helped over 16.000 communist guerillas alive during the war.
 
Relaxing with green tea and tapioca as Vietcong in wartime, you will understand more about their former life.
 
Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City and  visit this dynamic metropolis. Let’s visit some historic sites of the city such as the Old Post Office of Saigon, the Notre Dame cathedral , Dong Khoi street and the Chinese District of Cho Lon as well as astonishing Binh Tay Market. Thien Hau pagoda is also an interesting destination for peaceful feeling that you should not miss.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Visa:
You will require a visa to enter Vietnam. Your consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
 
Passport:
Please ensure that you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining after your return date. You will also need at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting.
 
Booking Procedure:
Only once you are completely happy with any holiday itinerary we create for you will we ask for a payment. In order that we can secure availability for your booking we would typically require a deposit of 30%.
 
Money Exchange:
The official currency of Thailand is the Baht (THB).
The official currency of Cambodia is the Riel (KHR). 
Unofficially however, US currency (US$) runs the country and is the currency you should bring, mostly in cash - notes should be 2006 series onwards. Clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Notes should be 2006 series onwards. Torn, dirty or old notes, as well as the $2US note will be refused in most businesses. ATMs are available in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap and also dispense in both KHR and US$. 
The official currency of Vietnam is Dong (VND).
Some establishments will accept US currency (USD), but usually only for large purchases and in some restaurants and hotels that cater to tourists. It's not possible to exchange Vietnamese Dong outside the country, so convert or spend all your Dong before leaving.
The most convenient and cheapest way to obtain local currency in is via an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). ATMs are now available in most towns and visa cash advances are available in major banks. The use of credit cards is restricted, mainly to major hotels. Foreign currency notes that are old, torn or faded can be very difficult to exchange; clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Traveller's cheques are unacceptable to change. 
 
Tipping:
If you're happy with the services provided a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Asia destinations. Although can be difficult to source we advise you to carry small notes of local currency each day to make tipping easier. Please note we recommend that any tips are given directly to the intended recipient by a member of your group as our group leaders are prohibited from collecting cash for tips.
The following amounts are per person suggestions based on local considerations and feedback from our past travelers:
Restaurants: Local markets and basic restaurants - round your bill up to the nearest US$1. More up-market restaurants we suggest 10% to 15% of your bill.
Local guides: Throughout your trip you may at times have a local guide in addition to your tour leader. We suggest US$2-US$3 per day for local guides.
Drivers: You may have a range of drivers on your trip. Some may be with you for a short journey while others may be with you for several days. We would suggest a higher tip for those more involved with the group, however, we suggest US$1-US$2 per day for drivers.
Please don't tip with coins, very small denomination notes, or dirty and ripped notes. This is regarded culturally as an insult.
