Bac Son Valley Trekking Tour

Depart from Hanoi at around 8:00 AM for a scenic nearly 4 hour drive through the Red River Delta and the hilly area of Thai Nguyen. Along the way, you will be rewarded a stunning scenery of rice fields, rolling mountains and stilt-house villages. Along the way, you could make some stops for taking photos. After arriving at Quynh Son by noon, there will be an authentic Vietnamese lunch at a local stilt house. Take your time to enjoy delicious local food and chat with the friendly host.

In the afternoon, take a short stroll around the village to get a closer look at the lifestyle of Tay people. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the famous Na Lay Mountain of the region. From its foot, climb to the top where the cell phone tower is placed. After a hard way, you will be rewarded with spectacular panorama of the valley.

Do not forget to take as many photos as you want to save this amazing moment. Then, climb back to the foot of the mountain and return to the homestay. Take your time to freshen up before enjoying a local dinner prepared by the host family. After dinner, you could have a friendly talk with our friendly host. Overnight at the homestay.

In the morning, enjoy a traditional breakfast at the house before transferring to the nearby tile factory. This is the most famous one in the region which provides tiles for most of the stilt houses here. Tiles in the factory are made by hand with traditional techniques unchanged for centuries.

After some time strolling around the factory, transfer to a small valley where you start your stunning trekking tour. You will begin with a small concrete path dotted with peaceful stilt houses and surrounded by green farms. After reaching the end of the valley, your adventure will be continued with a hiking into the forest. As you reach the top of the hill, take time to breathe fresh air and admire surroundings around you.

Continue onto the second valley which is bigger and then follow the buffalo to trek down the hill. Take a walk back to the family to freshen up and enjoy lunch. After a short break, it’s time to say goodbye to the host family and drive back to Hanoi where you will arrive in between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. End of service.
