Short-term Visa Fee for Visitors to Vietnam is Decreasing Sharply

From 23rd November, 2015, the visa fee for international visitors to Vietnam for a short period is decreasing sharply, whereas the long-term visa remains its current price and the expenditure for a temporarily residence permission for children is on a growth.

The ministry of finance has just released circular 157/2015/TT-BTC about the Visa fee for international people to Vietnam for traveling, educational,… purposes.
According to this circulation, the fee for a short-term visa is decreasing sharply, for the long-term is remaining its current price but the expenditure for the temporarily residence permission of a child is increasing.
The changes are as following:
+ The fee for a single entry visa decreases from 45USD to only 25USD.
+ The fee for a 3 months visa decreases from 90USD to only 50USD 
+ The fee for a 3-6 months visa and 6-12months visa remains 95USD and 135USD.
 
This circulation added also the fee for a 1-2 year visa at 145USD; the 2-5 years visa has a common value of 155USD.
 
The expenditure for a temporarily residence permission for 1-2 years increases from 100USD to 145USD; for 2-5 years increases from 120USD to 155USD.

With those changes, the fee for the single entry visa has been reduced to the same limit as in 2012. At that time, the fee was also 25USD, but at the beginning of 2013 in increased to 45USD, which caused worries for travel agencies, international hotels that the too high visa fee would affect the attraction of international travelers.
