Welcome to Ho Chi Minh city, our guide will pick you up at Ho Chi Minh Airport and take you to hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. Balance the day as your leisure. Meals on your own and take a sweet night for our tour!

As the name of the tour, today we will join an interesting cooking course. The class starts with a stroll around a local market to prepare your ingredients for the course and learn how to differ some kinds of traditional herbs used in a Vietnamese meal. Moreover, it is also a good chance for you to explore the daily life of Vietnamese people. Transfer to the course after preparation and you will be directed to cook some traditional Vietnamese dishes by a professional chef. Afterwards, you will savour your lunch with your achievement and some additional foods made by cooks. That’s when you enjoy the flavor of Vietnam.
 
Following a short rest is  an excursion around the city and visit some historic sites of the city such as Cho Lon, Thien Hau Pagoda, the former Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House. 
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B/L)

After your breakfast, we will transfer by private car to Cai Be where we will take a local boat to the Mekong Delta of Vinhlong. Floating on the river is time for you to explore the daily water life of locals in Cai Be floating market. Try some kinds of fresh fruits from local orchards before stop for lunch at a local orchid garden. 
 
Take a short rest and we will continue the cruise to Vinhlong then drive to Cantho. Check in at the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 4: Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City - Hue (B)

Departure to Ninh Kieu Quay, you will get onto the Mysterious Mekong for a cruise to the tumultuous and vivid floating markets in Cai Rang. 
 
We will run adrift along the river on boat, witness many other floating boats selling from well-known fruits such as mangos, bananas to the most exotic ones like mangos teens, star apples, or the sweetened longans and the very odorous durians. You will be satisfied with their flavours before entering the gaze of the channels and streams around Can Tho. Sitting on boat and have a direct look at locals’ activities, you will partly understand more about their daily life.
 
Afterwards, we will disembark the boat and transfer to the airport for flight to Hue. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

On this day of tour, we will take a riding-trip to Phu Mong village famous for its ancient and charming architecture. You will be explained by your guide to understand more about the history of the village there. Continue to visit an ancient typical garden house called Xuan Vien Tieu Cung built in 1894, you will be surprised with its well-preserved design. 
 
The house used to be accommodation of Pham Huu Dien (a minister under the Nguyen Dynasty) and now it has been passed down to Mrs.Pham Thi Tuy, his granddaughter. Enjoying a cup of local green tea, fresh fruits and listening to a lot of humorous stories about the house surely will make you feel excited. 
 
Leaving the house, we will ride back to the city for exploration at the Imperial Citadel. Once you reach here, you will absolutely agree with us that this World Heritage Site is the not-to-be-missed destination for anyone in Hue.
 
Take a lunch at a very nice local restaurant. After s short rest, we will come to visit Minh Mang Mausoleum, an ancient tomb standing for long generations.
 
Afterwards, we will visit Dong Ba Market to explore the daily life of people here. The guide will tell you about some traditional foods of Hue and you also have chance to sample. 
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 6: Hue - Hoian (B)

The tour continues in Da Nang. You will have chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful beach in Vietnam. Lang Co with long white sandy beach will surely make you feel a real day of relaxation. 
 
Afterwards, we will transfer to Hoi An via the scenic Hai Van Pass. Here gives you a unique time to contemplate one of many fantastic picturesque sceneries of Vietnam as you look out over the central coastline.
 
Upon arrival in Hoian, transfer to hotel for check in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Once more you will have chance to join a funny cooking class in Hoian. Each place in Vietnam has their own cuisine and the course will teach you how to cook some specialties of Hoian. Strolling around a local market to buy some indispensable ingredients such as vegetables, herbs, spices, meat and fish. That daily life is very astonishing. Leaving the market, we can stop for a cup of coffee or tea before we take the cooking course. During the course, the host (also the chef) will teach you step by step to cook a traditional Hoian dishes and how to use some kinds of spice. After that, you will enjoy it for your lunch with some other dishes prepared by the cooks.
 
After a short rest, we will start a walking tour with our tour-guide around the attractive Hoian port town. In 16th century, Hoian used to be the national trading center for East-West commercial itinerary. It seems to be the assembly point for diversity of ancient streets and homes. Particularly, the quaint cobblestone streets with more than two-century-old Chinese houses are indispensable subjects to visit and explore. You will see the ancient houses built following the Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures along the narrow lanes. The 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge built by Japanese merchants in 16th century, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, and the local fish market are some indispensable places that you should visit in Hoi An. Let’s stop off at a tailor-made shop to get yourself a favourite clothes/suits/dresses done in just few hours.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 8: Hoian - Danang - Hanoi (B)

This day of tour will be a very interesting day for you. We will take a boat to Cua Dai and participate in the daily activities of the local anglers. After that, we will try going by a coracle (round basket boat) to visit the mangrove forest of coconut trees. 
 
Disembarking from the boat. Transfer back to hotel. Free time at your leisure until we transfer to Danang Airport for flight to Hanoi. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 9: Hanoi (B/L)

Start a walking tour in a local market to buy some ingredients for another cooking class in Hanoi and discover a traditional meal in the capital city of Vietnam. Don’t hesitate to taste your self-prepared meal for lunch and some other local foods for your lunch.
 
After a short rest, we will visit thousand-year-old Temple of Literature, the famous first university in Vietnam. You will recognize that this is a popular place for Vietnamese students to take commemorative photographs when graduating. And we will pay a visit to the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday). Here, you can deeply explore the diversity of Vietnam’s ethnic groups before enjoying a traditional water puppet show performed after the sunset.
 
Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 10: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will leave Hanoi for a 180-km journey to Halong Bay, one of UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3000 islands located in a background of limestone in Gulf of Tonkin. Coming to Halong, visitors will be impressed with the beauty of natural achievement and many wonderful scenery.
 
You will enjoy an overnight cruise on a wonderful boat floating on Halong Bay and savouring special menu of fresh seafood will absolutely bring you the best moment you have ever had.
 
You will be served with lunch and dinner on boat. Overnight onboard.
 
Day 11: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B)

You are recommended to wake up early in the morning on this day because that is the most wonderful time for you to contemplate aquamarine water of the bay at its best. Once satisfied with the tea break, you will continue the onboard excursion through impressive limestone surrounding the bay. Don’t forget to take some nice photos of this unique land.

Free time at your leisure until we transfer to Hanoi Airport for your departure flight. Room is at your disposal  until noon time only. Meals on your own.

Visa:
You will require a visa to enter Vietnam. Your consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
 
Passport:
Please ensure that you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining after your return date. You will also need at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting.
 
Booking Procedure:
Only once you are completely happy with any holiday itinerary we create for you will we ask for a payment. In order that we can secure availability for your booking we would typically require a deposit of 30%.
 
Money Exchange:
The official currency of Thailand is the Baht (THB).
The official currency of Cambodia is the Riel (KHR). 
Unofficially however, US currency (US$) runs the country and is the currency you should bring, mostly in cash - notes should be 2006 series onwards. Clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Notes should be 2006 series onwards. Torn, dirty or old notes, as well as the $2US note will be refused in most businesses. ATMs are available in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap and also dispense in both KHR and US$. 
The official currency of Vietnam is Dong (VND).
Some establishments will accept US currency (USD), but usually only for large purchases and in some restaurants and hotels that cater to tourists. It's not possible to exchange Vietnamese Dong outside the country, so convert or spend all your Dong before leaving.
The most convenient and cheapest way to obtain local currency in is via an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). ATMs are now available in most towns and visa cash advances are available in major banks. The use of credit cards is restricted, mainly to major hotels. Foreign currency notes that are old, torn or faded can be very difficult to exchange; clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Traveller's cheques are unacceptable to change. 
 
Tipping:
If you're happy with the services provided a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Asia destinations. Although can be difficult to source we advise you to carry small notes of local currency each day to make tipping easier. Please note we recommend that any tips are given directly to the intended recipient by a member of your group as our group leaders are prohibited from collecting cash for tips.
The following amounts are per person suggestions based on local considerations and feedback from our past travelers:
Restaurants: Local markets and basic restaurants - round your bill up to the nearest US$1. More up-market restaurants we suggest 10% to 15% of your bill.
Local guides: Throughout your trip you may at times have a local guide in addition to your tour leader. We suggest US$2-US$3 per day for local guides.
Drivers: You may have a range of drivers on your trip. Some may be with you for a short journey while others may be with you for several days. We would suggest a higher tip for those more involved with the group, however, we suggest US$1-US$2 per day for drivers.
Please don't tip with coins, very small denomination notes, or dirty and ripped notes. This is regarded culturally as an insult.
