In the morning, we will visit Cu Chi Tunnel, the historic shelter of Vietnamese soldiers during the war. We will pay a visit to the traps, the mysterious way-in, the network of bunkers and the underground hermitage. Furthermore, there gives you a unique and wonderful chance to use real guns and bullets at rifle range as well as even creep into the Cu Chi Tunnels to understand the historic harsh life of Vietcong guerrillas. Covering almost 250km, the tunnels system helped over 16.000 communist guerillas alive during the war.
 
Relaxing with green tea and tapioca as Vietcong in wartime, you will understand more about their former life.
 
In the afternoon, we will transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city to visit this dynamic metropolis. Let’s visit some historic sites of the city such as the Old Post Office of Saigon, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Dong Khoi street and the Chinese District of Cho Lon as well as astonishing Binh Tay Market. Thien Hau pagoda is also an interesting destination for peaceful feeling that you should not miss.

You will be transfer from Ho Chi Minh City downtown to Cai Be district on morning. Arriving in Cai Be, you will be welcomed by the hospitable smile of the host and invited some fresh fruits before embarking on boat to visit Cai Be Floating Market and traditional handicraft villages. You’ll have an opportunity to talk to the sellers on their boats. The boat will then lead you to the home-stay on Tan Phong Island for having lunch. In the afternoon, local host will lead you to his orchards where you can learn how to take care for the garden and how to pluck the ripen fruits as the host does every day. In the late afternoon, you will visit the vegetable garden and learn about soem ingredient in Vietnam cuisine. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Mekong Delta.

Waking up in the early morning to enjoy the fresh air of Mekong region.
 
After breakfast time, you will join a bicycle tour around the village to visit the traditional handicraft workshops of handbags, rice papers along with wooden tables and chairs.
At 11:00, the small boat will transfer you back to the Cai Be tourist boat wharf and you will drive to Ho Chi Minh City airport for a short flight to Hue. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

After your breakfast, enjoy a bike ride to the Royal Citadel. Once you reach here, you will absolutely agree with us that this World Heritage Site is the not-to-be-missed destination for anyone in Hue.Then we will cycle to deliberately excurse Hue in an extremely astonishing way through local’s home region, immense rice filed and peaceful rural areas. Subsequently, we will visit the Minh Mang Mausoleum, an ancient tomb standing for long generations. Transfer back your hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

We’ll head towards Phuoc Tich Village for a walking trip along here and excurse around old houses and historical sites of this village. It’s the best time to take some nice photos! You will have chance to enjoy lunch and have rest time in an ancient house here after floating moments on O Lau River. The tour will bring you to portery exhibition house and don’t be rather afraid of showing us your ceramic making skill.
If time permits, we will visit Thuy Bieu, a peaceful village with a fantastic scenery of Vietnamese countryside.

Today we will departure by car for Hoian via the scenic Hai Van Pass, where we enjoy the spectacular panorama of the central coastline from the summit. Stop at lang Co stretch your legs on the white sands of this peaceful beach. On the way, we will also visit Cham Museum  which was officially built in 1915. It is home of the largest collection of sculptures and relics from the Cham civilization once known as the Khmer civilization with around 2000 multi-sizes objects dated from 12th to 15th century. 
 
Arrival in Hoian late in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Following breakfast, we will start a walking tour with our tour-guide around the attractive Hoian port town. In 16th century, Hoian used to be the national trading center for East-West commercial itinerary. It seems to be the assembly point for diversity of ancient streets and homes. Particularly, the quaint cobblestone streets with more than two-century-old Chinese houses are indispensable subjects to visit and explore. You will see the ancient houses built following the Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures along the narrow lanes. The 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge built by Japanese merchants in 16th century, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, and the local fish market are some indispensable places that you should visit in Hoian. Let’s stop off at a tailor-made shop to get yourself a favourite clothes/suits/dresses if you are interested.

This day of tour will lead us to the mouth of Thu Bon River and observe the daily activity of local anglers. 
 
Transfer back to Hoian, we will continue the trip on a bicycle and savouring the view before reaching Tra Que village. Riding through plains of flooded rice fields, you will be impressed thanks to picturesque scenes of the local's daily life against a background of verdant countryside.
 
Tra Que, the land of many qualitative and fragrant herbs. Learn about locals’ agricultural techniques and join in their work for a while. Don’t worry about how to do it, they will patiently show you with some interesting tasks such as digging, watering and harvesting. 
 
After farming time, you can relax with traditional foot massage using the family’s special technique before enjoy lunch in local house. The gourmets will be satisfied with village’s dainties such as “Tam Huu” combining shrimps, pork and aromatic herbs.

Today we will transfer to Danang Airport for flight to Hanoi. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walking tour around Hanoi. You will be surprised with a variety of architectural works in our capital and its well-known 36 streets of the Old Quarter. Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 11: Hanoi - Duong Lam Village - Mai Chau Valley (B,L,D)

We will greet the new day with a departure to Duong Lam located 60km in Northern the Red River Delta from Hanoi. The ancient village Duong Lam is famous for many well-preserved old houses. Once you come here, Mong Phu communal house dated back to 17th century is an indispensable subject to explore. If you would like to learn more about the life here, meet the people in their ancient house and talk or visit a workshop for self-made soya sauce.
 
You will be served with a lunch in a local house and take a short rest. In the afternoon, we depart a 3-hour journey to a scenic road; pass away mountains and valleys to Mai Chau town.
 
As you come here, you will see a very beautiful valley. This place has been home of White Thai tribe for several centuries. They live on stilt houses near rive fields and streams linking with a close-knit community life and many lovely age-old traditions.
 
After arriving in Mai Chau in the late afternoon, enjoy a dinner while savouring a particular performance by locals of ethnic minority Muong and Thai people. Overnight in Mai Chau.
 
Day 12: Mai Chau Valley (B,L,D)

In the morning, we cycle around the village. Don’t forget to take some nice photos of people working on the fields with their buffalos,a traditional activity of Vietnamese farming. 
 
In the afternoon, it’s time for a light 7-km trekking to Cun Pheo Village, the home of Muong People. Following is a big trail to Van Village of Thai people. Passing rice field, with us going through the village and trekking on the hillside will be unforgettable moments to you. Dinner and overnight in Mai Chau.

Visa:
You will require a visa to enter Vietnam. Your consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
 
Passport:
Please ensure that you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining after your return date. You will also need at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting.
 
Booking Procedure:
Only once you are completely happy with any holiday itinerary we create for you will we ask for a payment. In order that we can secure availability for your booking we would typically require a deposit of 30%.
 
Money Exchange:
The official currency of Thailand is the Baht (THB).
The official currency of Cambodia is the Riel (KHR). 
Unofficially however, US currency (US$) runs the country and is the currency you should bring, mostly in cash - notes should be 2006 series onwards. Clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Notes should be 2006 series onwards. Torn, dirty or old notes, as well as the $2US note will be refused in most businesses. ATMs are available in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap and also dispense in both KHR and US$. 
The official currency of Vietnam is Dong (VND).
Some establishments will accept US currency (USD), but usually only for large purchases and in some restaurants and hotels that cater to tourists. It's not possible to exchange Vietnamese Dong outside the country, so convert or spend all your Dong before leaving.
The most convenient and cheapest way to obtain local currency in is via an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). ATMs are now available in most towns and visa cash advances are available in major banks. The use of credit cards is restricted, mainly to major hotels. Foreign currency notes that are old, torn or faded can be very difficult to exchange; clean bills in small denominations are most useful. Traveller's cheques are unacceptable to change. 
 
Tipping:
If you're happy with the services provided a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Asia destinations. Although can be difficult to source we advise you to carry small notes of local currency each day to make tipping easier. Please note we recommend that any tips are given directly to the intended recipient by a member of your group as our group leaders are prohibited from collecting cash for tips.
The following amounts are per person suggestions based on local considerations and feedback from our past travelers:
Restaurants: Local markets and basic restaurants - round your bill up to the nearest US$1. More up-market restaurants we suggest 10% to 15% of your bill.
Local guides: Throughout your trip you may at times have a local guide in addition to your tour leader. We suggest US$2-US$3 per day for local guides.
Drivers: You may have a range of drivers on your trip. Some may be with you for a short journey while others may be with you for several days. We would suggest a higher tip for those more involved with the group, however, we suggest US$1-US$2 per day for drivers.
Please don't tip with coins, very small denomination notes, or dirty and ripped notes. This is regarded culturally as an insult.
