4 Best things of Trang An Tourist Attraction

Not only the convergence of stunning views, the beautiful landscape of Trang An is the unique tourist destination that you can find nowhere else in the world.

1. The only mingled heritage in Vietnam

Among heritages of Vietnam, the complex of Trang An is the only mingled one (the convergence of cultural and natural criteria recognized by UNESCO). Spreading over 12.000 ha (120.000.000 square meters), it is a cultural exchange point with the marvellousness, the mystery and the grandeur of the world of nature.

2. The place with the greatest numbers of trans-water caves

With the total numbers of 48 caves associated with stories such as Sinh Cave, Dia Linh Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou Cave, Quy Hau Cave… Trang An is now the only landscape in Vietnam which concentrates huge numbers of trans-water caves. Among these caves, there are caves with the length of 2 kilometers. The system of caves links together which forms a circle. When cruising in these caves, you need to keep your head down to avoid touching with rock.

3. The most unique Thi tree (Gold Apple Tree)

The unique Gold Apple tree grows in the sacred Phu Khong located in Trang An. Visitors could get to the pagoda with a cruise through 13 mysterious caves with 13 kilometer long. After over 1000 years of history with ups and downs, the tree has elephant- shaped branches reflecting its shade on the lake’s surface and covering the ancient Phu Khong.

Especially, what makes the tree unique is that it has two types of fruit: round fruit and flat one. At the beginning of autumn, the fragrant aroma of Gold Apple spreads over the large space. In addition, Gold Apple will not be damaged no matter how it is ripe.

4. The most amazing bird garden

It is Thung Nham bird garden with the natural ecosystem of mangroves on the area of 334 ha (3.340.000 square meters), in which there is 19 ha (190.000 square meters) of primitive forest. The bird garden is home to 46 species of birds including Giang Sen bird, little Coc De bird, etc which are listed in the Red book.  This is also the exclusive bird garden in Vietnam which “owns” a thousand-year-old toothbrush tree (Cay Duoi). The tree grows near a massive slab of limestone with many layers of leaves. All tourists are enchanted by the ancientness and uniqueness of the tree in the middle of the forest.

Ninh Binh is located in the Southern of Hanoi, 93 kilometers from Hanoi.  You could get to Ninh Binh by train or coach from all cities in the country. From Hanoi, if taking public transport, you could get to Hanoi Station to get a train or transfer to Giap Bat Station to get a coach. Or, you could pick up an open-tour car of travel agencies operating in the Old Quarter.

Upon your arrival in Ninh Binh, you could get a motorcycle taxi or hike a motorbike to explore Ninh Binh. If you use your own vehicle, follow this instruction: pass through Giap Bat Station, turn to Phap Van- Cai Gie highway and then Cau Gie-Phu Ly-Ninh Binh. After about 2 hours, you will approach the heritage of Trang An.

With its own uniqueness, Trang An was recognized as the World heritage of culture and nature in June, 2014 by UNESCO.
