Travel to Da Nang in April to Join Sakura Festival

Do you know why you should travel to Danang in this April? Because this is the first time Danang organizes Japanese Sakura Festival to serve the locals and tourists. Hanami is a festival for watching cherry blossoms taking place from March to May annually in Japan. This is a traditional festival of Japan and also an occasion for people to celebrate, drink and play together under amazing cherry branches.

This festival has a thousand year history. It is considered the national festival of Japan- an indispensable beauty in Japanese culture.

Danang is honored to be a place to organize this famous festival for the first time. This year, Japan Sakura Festival is expected to take place in 2 days: 9^th and 10^th, April 2016 in Asia Park (Hoa Cuong Nam Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang). Tickets for sightseeing are free.

Recently, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang city has received 100 baby cherry trees and 50 cherry branches from Japan Sakura Exchange Association. As planned, 100 baby cherry trees have been planted in Asia Park. At present, Asia Park starts to design space for the first Sakura festival in Danang. It promises to bring the locals and tourists a brilliant festival atmosphere with cherry blossom.

There will be a plenty of booths such as cuisine, tea, kimono, origami, ikebana flower arranging.., to serve visitors in the festival.

Especially, the area for exchanging culture of 9 countries in the world will give tourists a general knowledge about the culture of Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, China and Nepal without travelling to these countries.
