Bac Son
Bac Son, exactly Bac Son Valley, is located in Lang Son province, a less-known destination in the North of Vietnam. The way from Hanoi to Bac Son is not hard, which seems to be a favourable condition to spend 2 days there. Sapa
Sapa, without doubt, is the most famous one once saying about Vietnam. Highlighted with the stunning terrace rice fields, the friendly local people and their unique culture, Sapa is always one of not-to-be-missed destination for those who love nature. For photographers, don’t miss the landscape of terrace rice fields in the harvest season (September is at the best).
If you want more experience, a night staying at homestay of local people at Ta Van village is perfect choice: you can have meals with them, live their daily life, join their everyday works and learn more about their tradition. Sapa is really an ideal place to escape from pressure and immerse yourself in a poetic scenery.
Mai Chau
Located about 160km from Hanoi, Mai Chau is famous with the immense green fields and the scenic routes for trekking, biking and eco tourism. With the simple and peaceful villages, Mai Chau is worth to spend at least 2 days to experience. The most famous village in Mai Chau is Pom Coong Village where the staying condition is good, less crowded and noisy.
If you want to try something new here, just pack your bag and drive 20km to Buoc Village where you hear and see nothing relating to a modern life. Buoc Village is now not a much-mentioned destination in Mai Chau but its authenticity of countryside area is really awesome. For a good stay and eco-tourism experience, consider the

Ha Giang
If you are a motorbike-riding lover, Ha Giang should be put in the top of your shortlist. Ha Giang is quite far from Hanoi but it’s famous for the breathtaking passes and beautiful natural attractions like Fairy Mountain, Meo Vac and the ancient town of Dong Van, etc …
