Hanoi Weather – Useful Information for Travelers

Consider the following advices a gift from Hello Vietnam Travel to understand deeply about Vietnam weather and have the best preparation for your journey!
Located in a monsoon tropical country, Hanoi weather is different from Southern area with 4 different season: spring, summer, autumn and winter with sunshine, rain and sometimes being freezing. It’s hard to know which is the season Hanoians love most because each one has its own charms and attachment.

Hanoi spring last from February to the end of April. Weather is renewed with first sunshine after the sun’s winter holiday. Completely, there are still cold breezes and murky clouds floating in the sky until the middle of April, when the whole city is waken up after long winter sleep. There will be flourishing trees and flowers instead.

After being waken up, Hanoi quickly puts on a new coat vivid with natural colours of summer. Lasting from beginning of May to middle of August, Hanoi summer is sheltered in brand-new sunshine, sounds of cicadas and particular summer flowers as well as unexpected rains like a beverage bottle to dispel a full day muggy of sun lights.

The short time for weather turning hot climate into cool atmosphere is absolutely autumn, season when they love Hanoi the most. From September to middle of November, Hanoi is happy in cool breeze and charming milk flower’s fragrance. Streets seem to be covered by “yellow-leaves rain” created by unexpected winds.

Hanoi finishes a year with winter breezes. During the period of November (previous year) – January (next year), Hanoi is silent in windy atmosphere and sometimes rains. The weather is little worse but thanks to Hanoians’ spirit values, Hanoi is still worth being talked about those winter days.
