Inspired by the original design of the 1920s riverboats operated by the French Messageries Fluviales de Cochinchine during Indochine times, Co Saigon has been built with a wooden strip-planking hull. Co Saigon is the first luxury river yacht of its kind in Vietnam to offer exclusive cruises to the hidden parts of Can Gio, one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in Vietnam and listed biosphere reserve by UNESCO. In addition, it can provide direct riverside access to Cu Chi, the famous underground network of tunnels built during the second world war.

Mekong Point is a company especially offering guests tours within Chau Doc. The boats are made of wood and are locally designed. There are four boats of which the capacity is from 24 to 40 pax. On the boats, there are sufficient life jackets for all passengers. Different tour routes are offered such as Cham Village, Sam mountain, Floating fish farms, Tra Su Forest, Tri Ton Region, Mountain Bay, Vinh Te canal.

The first impression would be the boat’s special design, from the top bamboo canvas-made ceiling to the wooden floor providing guests with a feeling of a royal place. The finest materials and traditional secrets were used to build the boat in a way that make it different from others. Mekong Queen company has currently 9 boats ranging in capacity from 12 pax to 30 pax.

The 17m x 3m in width Mystic sampans accommodate 26 and some of them up to 30 passengers, with a buffet service for breakfast, or table service for lunch or dinner. The roof is made of light bamboo thatch, and the sampan provides warm lighting for a party cruising at night.

Nam Bo is a local boat company providing guests with boat trip tours which can include biking and a home stay in Ben Tre and Tien Giang province. It currently has 14 boats ranging in capacity from 12 pax to 36 pax.

Saigon River Express has 08 speed boats of 14 seats offering tours to Cu Chi, Mekong Delta and around Saigon. The boats are new and can reach speeds of 50 - 55 km/h. There is a guide in each boat.
